Once prepared and thoroughly reviewed, we also offer the service of submitting your paperwork directly to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for processing, providing you with a seamless experience. As immigrants ourselves from South Asia, we deeply understand the dreams, aspirations, and challenges that come with the immigration process. We know the value of honest, knowledgeable guidance that transforms your immigration journey into a success story, making the process reliable and straightforward.
At Calaveras Immigration Services, we offer non-legal assistance in completing your USCIS forms, helping you avoid the high costs and unnecessary delays often associated with hiring an attorney—especially if you have a clean criminal record. While we don’t provide legal advice, we ensure that you have accurate and up-to-date information to confidently navigate the process. If your case requires an attorney, we will always refer you to one and provide upfront guidance before moving forward. We respect the importance of legal counsel, but we also believe that not every case requires an attorney to file with USCIS.
Over the years, we’ve gained extensive knowledge of USCIS and Department of Labor processes. While we don’t claim to be legal experts, we stay informed with the latest updates on immigration, ensuring that we can guide you effectively through the paperwork. We are here to help you complete your USCIS forms, allowing you to file directly with USCIS without the added expense of an attorney.

Do I Need An Attorney?
For many of the immigration forms, generally speaking you are not required to have an attorney, and the process is designed so people can manage it on their own. The forms and documents required for your visa can be overwhelming, government delays or mix-ups are inevitable, and mistakes by the applicant can have disastrous consequences. You would be wondering whether your case needs an attorney or not. We can’t take that decision for you, however we would like to provide an informed decision on whether you need an attorney or not.
As Immigration Consultants, we only offer non-attorney form preparation services. However, not everyone qualifies for form preparation services alone.
For example, persons that may need an attorney are applicants who:
* Have criminal records and are seeking a new immigration benefit (such as U.S. Citizenship).
* Have a history of giving false information to USCIS to obtain an immigration benefit.
* Have had a prior deportation on their record/file.
If you are not sure whether you need an attorney to assist you with your process, we invite you to consult with an attorney at the local bar association lawyer referral service to get legal advice regarding applying for an Immigration application, prior to filing anything with USCIS. We never discourage people from getting legal advice from an attorney. The more information they can get, the better informed they will be to make an informed decision regarding their case.
If after meeting with the attorney, they decide they want to move forward with the process without the use of an attorney, we are usually able to help them.
Many of the clients that have used our services are because:
* Their process is straightforward and does NOT require a Court hearing or complex legal proceedings
* All applications and documents are submitted by mail, and decisions are issued by mail to the clients directly (approval/green card/work permit, travel permit, etc.)
* They want to have one point of contact throughout their process (we do the consult, we prepare the forms, and we provide timely updates in your case)
